FREE fire safety equipment to help protect children in homes across Wirral is being offered by a charity.
The "Safe and Sound" project, funded by Wirral Council, is for parents who have a child under two-years-old. It is run by the charity Fire Support Network.
The equipment ranges from safety stair gates, fire guards, kitchen cupboard locks, and free Home Fire Safety Checks where fire safety advice is given. The equipment is fitted for free.
Charlie Kavanagh, from the charity Fire Support Network, said: "This free equipment is available for any parent who has a child under two-years-old.
"You do not have to have all the equipment installed and installation normally takes one hour. We just need people to get in touch with us."
