FIREFIGHTERS were called out to Brimstage today after a car overturned after colliding with a hedge.

Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service arrived at Brimstage Road just before 3.30pm today, Monday.

The car had overturned on to two wheels.

A 56-year-old woman was assessed at the scene by paramedics and firefighters made the scene safe. 

Two fire appliances from Bromborough and Heswall community fire stations and the Search and Rescue Team were called out.

Firefighters were at the scene for around half an hour.
