A teenage girl from Moreton has been arrested on suspicion of drug-dealing after nine young cadets were taken to hospital from a training camp in north Liverpool.
The 17-year-old has been held on suspicion of possessing drugs with intent to supply in relation to the incident at the Altcar Training Camp, Hightown, this weekend.
Police were called to the camp on Saturday after cadets, understood to be aged between 15 and 17, became unwell overnight following a suspected drug-taking incident.
Nine young people were examined at two local hospitals and have since been released.
At this time, it is believed that no other cadets have been affected.
Officers say parents of other children who attended the camp and who have concerns about the health of their children should seek appropriate medical advice.
The arrested girl has been bailed to a later date pending further inquiries.
Police say it would be inappropriate to comment further at this stage.
