Wirral Community NHS Trust has launched a new art exhibition at St Catherine’s Health Centre.

Working in partnership with Upton Hall School, students now have their artwork on display in the centre helping create a bright and stimulating environment for patients and visitors.

The exhibition features work by more than 25 pupils from Upton Hall and Clare Mount Specialist Sports College, aged 13 to 18, and includes collage photography, fabric work, and mixed media paintings.

More than 70 people including pupils and their families attended the launch on Tuesday.

They were joined by Mayor and Mayoress of Wirral, Cllr Les and Mrs Paula Rowlands, along with Harriet Coates, chairman of the National Association of Decorative & Fine Arts Societies and headteacher of Upton Hall School Pat Young.

Frances Street, chairman at Wirral Community NHS Trust, said: “It was wonderful to see so many of the young artists on the night. It’s fantastic that they get to see their work on display and it really brings some colour to our building.

“We hope to make this a rolling programme and look forward to working with other local schools to give more pupils the opportunity to showcase their artwork later in the year.
