A FORMER Wirral glamour model has been banned from all racecourses in the UK.

Katie Salmon, who appeared on this year’s Love Island, received the ban following her behaviour at Cheltenham races earlier this year.

She posed for photographers with friend Jessica Hayes- who is also of Love island fame, flashing their chests as they did so.

The British Horse Racing Authority are now preventing the pair from attending any races in the UK for three years.

After this time they can then appeal to have the ban lifted.

20-year-old Katie remained defiant on hearing the news, taking to social media she wrote ‘who needs the races anyway’.

Katie and Jessica were not the only ones to receive a ban for what is deemed unacceptable behaviour, football stars Samir Carruthers and James Collins have also faced been affected.

Following accusations of urinating into a glass and throwing it over the balcony of the VIP box they were in, Samir Carruthers has been banned until March 2017, and James Collins until January 2018.

A spokesman for The British Horse Racing Authority said: “The British Horseracing Authority are responsible for protecting the proper conduct and good reputation of horseracing in this country.

“As a result of their behaviour at Cheltenham Racecourse, the BHA applied to its Disciplinary Officer to have Katie Salmon, Jessica Hayes, Samir Carruthers and James Collins excluded from all licensed premises, including all racecourses in Great Britain.

“The Disciplinary Officer was satisfied on the evidence put before him that all individuals should be excluded from the sport.”
