She was in her early 20s when she joined Clatterbridge Hospital as a telephonist. Now its time for Beryl Gelens to ring the changes as she retires from her job.
Radio Clatterbridge volunteers were on hand to present Beryl, now Telecommunications Manager, with a card and flowers as colleagues threw her a party.
Beryl has given much help and assistance over the last 41 years, and she will be sorely missed.
