AN all-day music festival is set to return to New Brighton this month which will showcase 10 new and upcoming Merseyside artists.

Micro-FestEvol Part V: New Brighton Strikes Back will take place on Saturday March 26 at the formerly abandoned Co-Op supermarket now Hope Anti-Supermarket on Victoria Road.

The line-up features co-headliners from Gen & The Degenerates and Liverpool's The Heavy North.

It also features an eclectic mix of rising Merseyside based artists who will all be playing their own original material with Joeys, Trudy & the Romance, By the Sea, Hushtones, Casino, Lucy Gaffney, Ambedo Blue and The Quiet Man.

New Brighton based promoter Revo, said: "We're delighted to be back at Hope Anti-Supermarket for our second event following the success of January's sold-out debut at the space.

“The first one (Part IV) was more or less an experiment to see how the area would take to having a concert venue in its midst and we proved the concept works and have shown that there is a strong desire to see live music in New Brighton once more.

“As a result, we've expanded the line-up and amount of groups playing and we're very happy with the bill which features 10 crucial artists who'll be making their own waves this year."
