DETECTIVES investigating the shooting of Elle Edwards on Christmas Eve have arrested three more people today.

Merseyside Police confirmed that following further warrants, a man from Heswall and a woman from Tranmere, both 23, were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder.

Both suspects have been released on bail.

A third man was also arrested as part of the investigation and he has since been charged. Thomas Waring, 20, of Private Drive, Barnston, Wirral has been charged with possession of a prohibited weapon, and assisting an offender.

Waring will appear at Wirral Adult Remand Court tomorrow morning, Thursday, March 9.

Elle, a 26-year-old beautician, was shot outside the Lighthouse pub in Wallasey Village, Wirral shortly before midnight on December 24.

Connor Chapman, 22, has already been charged with murder and is due to go on trial on June 7.
