WHO is your favourite celebrity from Wirral?
There are so many famous names who were born on the Wirral. Celebrities include footballers, artists, actors, comedians and entertainers.
We asked Globe readers who their favourite celebrity was from the Wirral and here are some of their answers.
Birkenhead-born Paul O'Grady was understandably one of the most popular answers.
The Wirral community was shocked and saddened when the 67-year-old died suddenly in March.
Michelle Leat wrote: "The late Paul O'Grady every time."
Julie Holloway added: "Paul O'Grady, such a fun-loving and kind-hearted man x"
Dave Wakeham said: "Paul O'Grady by a country mile."
English actress and former member of parliament Glenda Jackson was also mentioned.
The 87-year-old from Birkenhead was described by Globe readers as a "great actress".
Karen Acree said: "Glenda Jackson - not only is she a great actress, activist, and politician but I'm related to her by marriage!"
Arthur Smith added: "Glenda Jackson, great actress!"
Kingsman star, Taron Egerton, was born in Birkenhead.
The 33-year-old, moved from the Wirral to Wales, where he grew up, and has starred in a number of films.
Michelle Jenkins wrote: "Taron Egerton from the Kingsman films, very handsome and from Birkenhead."
Jo Abba said: "Taron Egerton takes the top spot for me, even if he was only in Birko for five or six years."
Other stars who have been mentioned are actress Keddy Sutton, Heswall-born DJ John Peel, footballer Dixie Dean and chefs Paul Hollywood and Nisha Katona.
Wirral bands The Coral and Half Man Half Biscuit also got a shoutout from Globe readers.
94-year-old Patricia Routledge from Tranmere was another Wirral favourite, best known for starring in the sitcom Keeping Up Appearances.
Andrew Maclellan wrote: "Met Patricia Routledge in Caye Caulker in Belize mid 90's what a gin fest hoot a very interesting and funny person fond memory."
