Ted Dillon MBE
He's a familiar voice to listeners of Radio Clatterbridge, but soon Ted Dillon will have an altogether more regal audience.
The commissionnaire at the Clatterbridge Centre for Oncology has been one of the workers to feature in the station's Staff Selection feature over recent years.
Now Ted has discovered he's to receive an MBE for services to healthcare.
Ted, who is also well known to our ward visitors, said "I just try to cheer everyone up and try to help. It was a surprise I was nominated."
