Santa dash

A SUMMER Santa Dash to raise vital funds for this year's Greasby Christmas Lights will take place this weekend.

The 1K fun run, planned for Saturday (July 8), will be held in Coronation Park, Greasby from 10am. There will be a goody bag and medal for all runners. Open to all local primary school children and their families. Details from Nicki on 07833 088045.

Summer fair 

A summer fair will be held at Highfield Church on Rock Lane West in Rock Ferry on Saturday, July 15.

Taking place from 1pm, it promises all the fun of the fete with tombolas, bric a brac, Beat the Buzzer, Hook a Duck, raffles, hoopla, home made cakes, Tin Can Alley, books and toys, hot dogs and drinks on offer. Free admission.

Tap dance

A Monday evening tap dancing class in Wallasey is looking for new members.

Dog show

THE Friends of Dawstone Park’s annual dog show takes place at the venue in Heswall on Saturday, July 15. Entries £2 per class or £5 for three. Details on the Friends of Dawstone Park Facebook page.

Lennon chat

TWO experts on The Beatles will enact the interview John Lennon would have given had he reached old age during an event at Wallasey Central Library on Tuesday, July 18.

Table tennis

WIRRAL Table Tennis League is looking for players for the 2023-24 season, starting in September.

A TEN-pin bowling group for the over 50s is looking for more members. It plays in a Wednesday league at 1pm start and a Thursday league with a 10am start.
