A PRE-school in Greasby has received an 'Outstanding' rating from Ofsted.

The Our Lady of Pity Pre School CIC is a non-profit organisation that cares for children aged two to four years old.

They are located within Our Lady of Pity Primary School on Rigby Drive in Greasby.

The inspection by Ofsted, which took place on May 16, rated the pre-school 'Outstanding' in all four key areas.

This was the first routine inspection the provider received since the COVID-19 pandemic began.

What did the Ofsted report say?

In the Ofsted report it states: "Children thrive in this happy and nurturing setting. They are warmly welcomed by the friendly, caring staff, who take the time to speak with every parent and child as they arrive at the school gate.

"Children demonstrate great kindness and are confident in managing minor conflicts themselves."

It added: "The manager and staff excel at supporting children's communication and language development. They create a language-rich environment and have devised a curriculum with diverse activities to help children learn and communicate effectively.

"All children in the nursery, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities and those who speak English as an additional language, make excellent progress."

Managing Director, Emily Kendrick, said: "I have managed Our Lady of Pity Pre-School CIC for seven years and I am very proud to receive an outstanding judgement from Ofsted.

"We have a very strong team who work very hard to support the children and delivering a strong and varied curriculum. Since working at the pre-school I have made many changes and it is very rewarding to see the children thrive and for this to be recognised by Ofsted."

The school still has some availability for children to start in September 2023. Details on how to apply can be found at https://olop-preschool.uk/.
