A TALK about the history of The Beatles is coming to Neston.

On September 21 author and scriptwriter Mike Haskins will be coming to Neston to talk about the places that influenced The Beatles’ musical direction and eventual stardom.

Mike will uncover the significance of the locations behind hit singles such as ‘Strawberry Fields Forever’ and ‘Penny Lane’, as well as iconic music venue The Cavern Club.

This is all from Mike's book The Beatles' Liverpool: Discover the Stories Behind More Than 50 Iconic Beatles' Locations which was released in September 2022.

On Thursday, June 2 1960 the band debuted as The Beatles at Neston Civic Hall, making it an even more special location for Mike's talk.

Many historic Beatle-related sites across Liverpool and Wirral are covered in the humorous illustrated talk.

It presents a virtual tour around the area, taking in locations where life-changing events played out in the early career of the world’s most famous band.

Visitors are welcome and complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits will be served. The talk will begin at 7.30pm at URC Community Hall, Moorside Lane, Neston, CH64 6UZ.
