AN ELLESMERE Port man has received a fine for being drunk and disorderly at Chester Railway Station.

David Haskell Hill, 55, of Brancepeth Court, appeared at Chester Magistrates Court and pleaded guilty to that charge for an incident which took place on November 7 at the station.

Jonathan Wilkinson, prosecuting, said although it was a “very low level” offence, Hill had refused to leave the area when asked by officers.

Representing himself at court, Hill said he was engaging with Unity House support services about his drinking.

Hill was given a £40 fine and ordered to pay a £16 victim surcharge but will not have to pay prosecution costs.

Addressing Hill, chair of the bench Olga Randall, said: “Stay out of trouble and hopefully this will be better for you.”
