A BIG Beatles Boxing Day bash is happening at a venue in Merseyside this year.

On Tuesday, December 26 from 7pm the Cavern Club’s Beatles tribute, Made In Liverpool, are coming to the Liverpool Naval Club venue for a Christmas special prior to celebrating their 40 years as Cavern Club residents.

Liverpool’s first and longest standing Beatles tribute band, Made In Liverpool, have been playing venues since 1980 and are now looking to bring back the Boxing Day party tradition by hosting a special gig.

On the night, you can expect all the legendary Beatles hits such as Hey Jude and Twist & Shout.

Made In Liverpool’s Richie Wynne said: We’ve had some great gigs this year including a sold out Cavern Club event and packed out venues in Northern Ireland. We’ve never done a Boxing Day gig in Liverpool before so it will be great fun — going out on Boxing Day has always been a great tradition amongst Scousers so it will be great fun I’m sure.”

“In 2024 we’ll be embarking upon a UK tour celebrating 40 years of us playing at The Cavern Club and this will be both a great pre-tour gig and a great way to see out 2023. We have so many memories and stories playing worldwide over the years and we’re looking forward to making many more. Here’s to a Boxing Day to remember.”

The Liverpool Naval Club is located behind The Rocket Pub in Childwall, Liverpool and hosts regular tribute nights including soul and Motown and comedy.

Liverpool Naval Club’s Mark Nicholas said: “It’s been a great year at our venue with so many quality nights of entertainment and we’re thoroughly looking forward hosting Made In Liverpool — a real class act! We’re usually closed on Boxing Day but we’re opening especially for this gig this year — bringing back the tradition of a big Boxing Day party.”

The event will take place at 7pm on Tuesday, December 26 at Liverpool Naval Club. Tickets are £20.
