A MICRO pub in Little Sutton is one of a number of potential developments that could happen in the Ellesmere Port area this year.

While the much-anticipated plans for the new Ellesmere Port Market are yet to be decided, along with the proposed 267 home development at Dunkirk Farm, there are a few other applications which could bring change to the area and which are waiting on approval and rejection.

Change of use proposals have been lodged with Cheshire West and Chester Council for 361 Chester Road in Little Sutton which could see a hospitality business open in the village.

If granted by planners, what is currently a retail unit could be converted into a coffee shop / micro pub / bottle shop with associated works.

Also waiting in the wings is an application to build four three-bedroom homes at School Bungalow, Mill Lane in Great Sutton.

If given the go-ahead those houses would be semi-detached.

An application has also been submitted to install electric vehicle charging points as part of the planning conditions for construction of the village’s new medical centre on Old Chester Road.

Those plans are currently in the pipeline and likely to be decided on in 2024.
