Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust collates all the baby-related data every month detailing how many babies are born – boys and girls – whether there are any sets of twins or triplets and how babies are delivered.
There are stats for the number of babies born at Wirral Women and Children’s Hospital and how many are born at home or at Seacombe Birth Centre as well as the how many new arrivals were breast fed.
They also record the busiest day each month for births and whether babies are born on their due date, a little early or a little late.
There were 236 babies born in Wirral last month – 121 boys and 115 girls.
There were no sets of twins but two sets of triplets.
Some 94 were vaginal births with 112 caesarean sections and 30 babies were born via ventouse or forceps delivery with 104 inductions.
There were six home or community births and six water births and 147 babies were breast fed.
