A WIRRAL care company has been shortlisted as a finalist in the North West Business Awards 2024.

Professional Carers Wirral, based in Wallasey, has been shortlisted for the Business Services Excellence Award: Honouring Family Businesses Powering the North West.

The company beat strong competition with a record number of family businesses entering the awards from across the North West region.

Gary Nagle, Operations Director of Professional Carers said: “We are thrilled to have been recognised and shortlisted as a finalist for this award which builds on our recent achievements in celebrating over 25 Years of community care services.

“We are proud to be owned and managed by two generations of family members who focus on putting people at the heart of everything we do.

“Equally, we would not be here today without the wonderful support and fantastic work conducted by our employees, all of whom form part of the Professional Carers family, no matter what their role.”

This award acknowledges outstanding family-owned businesses that deliver excellence in service provision.

Whether offering crucial support to fellow businesses or directly enhancing the lives of consumers, these enterprises showcase exceptional dedication, innovation, and commitment to their respective sectors.

Co-Founder and Director of the North West Family Business Awards, Sue Howorth said: “With another year of increased entries we have been working with our 23 judges which are representing all five counties of the North West, and we know they have had extremely difficult decisions to make.

“Our finalists should be extremely proud of themselves for being recognised in this years shortlist.”

The finalists will now receive a visit from our specially selected panel of judges from across the region before the judges make their final decisions.

The winners will be announced at an awards celebration on Friday, May 10.
