On Friday this week, Tim Hulme and I will be guests on Cath Bore's show on Wirral's very own radio station, from 11am until noon.

7 Waves Radio broadcasts from Leasowe on 92.1 FM, and its signal reaches into North Wales and covers much of Liverpool. Or you can listen to the live show via the station's website (see "Related Links".)

Tim has been Secretary for Riverside Writers since 2003. Tim is also our Co-treasurer. His humourous stories have been performed on Radio Merseyside and published in the New Cauldron magazine. I don't know which of his stories he'll be reading on Friday, but he's an excellent writer so do listen in.

I will be reading Beautiful, which is a monologue written for the stage. If you have ever felt disappointed by your reflection in a mirror, this story is for you.

The next meeting of our writing group will be on Monday, July 28th, at 7.30pm. New faces are always welcome at our friendly and informal meetings in West Kirby Library.

This month's writing project was based around an unusual photograph, which showed an unconventional and innovative housing arrangement created by stacking various sizes of caravans on top of lorry containers. The caravans were all linked by a series of steel walkways and stairs. You can be sure that members will have produced some intriguing responses to this latest writing challenge!

Do come along and join us.
