The next meeting of Riverside Writers will take place at 7.30pm on Monday, July 27th at West Kirby Library. We will be joined by editor Maurice James (of the Coast to Coast writing competition) who will talk about his work and the kind of things which editors look for in submitted manuscripts.

As always, visitors are most welcome to come along. The more the merrier!

July's writing project was The Artificial Head, so visitors can expect to hear a wide variety of literary responses to this.

The group will also discuss, time permitting, the progress of our forthcoming anthology.

Parallel Dimensions

The recent Fantasy and Science-Fiction event, Parallel Dimensions, went very well and Wirral Libraries have already expressed interest in me organising a similar event next year. Six published authors shared something of their work with the good-sized audience. If you wish to view photos from this event visit, use the link below.

New Tales for Old Byways

Following on from our success last year, Riverside Writers will be participating again with Wirral Bookfest 2009. We are booked to perform New Tales for Old Byways at 7pm in West Kirby Library on Wednesday, October 14th.

Stories or poems with a local flavour will be performed by members of Riverside Writers, some of whom are published authors. Feel free to bring cameras or camcorders.

New Tales for Old Byways will be a free event, and the library will be providing cheese & wine.
