CAVENDISH missed the chance to go top of Division One when being bowled over by Wallasey Oval, who ran out 2-1 victors in a very even encounter that saw Andy Ward and Oliver Bradley cancel out a Josh Hatton goal for the visitors and put Oval in the promotion pack with the best defensive record.

Three second-half goals gave Cetco Europe a passport into the top four of the Premier Division as they beat Poulton Royal 3-0, thanks to Matty Boyd netting a double and Jay Lutas adding a single in a good contest.

A fast-flowing fixture saw Great Float S&S wash away Ship Wallasey 6-0 courtesy of efforts from James Harris, Mark Howell, Mike Pickles, Mark Chapman, Tom Harris and Sean Parrington to keep them as title favourites and still unbeaten.

FC Victoria claimed their second win of the campaign thanks to goals from Adam Saunders, Matty Kerr and Leigh Davies giving them a 3-1 success over Windsor, for whom Liam Jameson scored.

Only one fixture in Division Two resulted in leaders Wallasey Men’s beating Eastham Rangers 6-3 with Mark Goodacre (2), Dan Nettleton (2), Tom Rigby and an own goal securing the win.
