TRANMERE Rovers' manager Gary Brabin has said his squad has no room for complacency as their fight for a play-off place continues.

During a press conference at Prenton Park ahead of Saturday's home game against Torquay United, Brabin said that that although he was pleased with the recent upturn in results that has taken Rovers to two points outside the play-offs, results need to improve at Prenton Park.

He said: "We've had some good results of late, but where we weren't getting too downhearted when the results weren't going our way, we're not getting carried away when we're winning games.

"There's enough in the performances to see that we're heading in the right direction.

"We want to appease the fans and win at home, especially at a club like us where we're got a lots of fans.

"But we want to win football matches wherever we play, so we have to meet the challenge head on and perform the way we know we can."

This weekend's visitors, Torquay United sit 23rd in the league table and have enjoyed some impressive results of late.

Assessing the opponents, Brabin said: "In the last few weeks, Torquay have beaten Forest Green, drawn at Grimsby and beaten Wrexham so they're certainly no mugs.

"But I'm always confident going into every game that we can win. If we perform as well as we can, we don't fear anybody."
