TRANMERE Rovers will face Bolton Wanderers in a pre-season friendly at Prenton Park on July 19.
It will be part of a testimonial for Warwick Rimmer, who founded the youth system at Prenton Park which has brought through a number of high-profile players while he also served The Trotters as a player for 14 years.
The two clubs last met at Prenton Park in July 2014 for a pre-season friendly which ended in a 1-1 draw.
An Eliot Richards header equalised an earlier Jay Spearing strike for Bolton.
The last competitive meeting between the two clubs was the season earlier with a League Cup second round tie which also ended in a 1-1 draw.
Cole Stockton opened the scoring with Jermaine Beckford equalising before Rovers triumphed 4-2 on penalties to progress.
Details of all pre-season fixtures will be announced in due course.
