TRANMERE Rovers continue their National League campaign tonight with what promises to be a tough game against York City.

The match at Bootham Crescent comes three days after Rovers' were beaten 1-0 by Lincoln City at Prenton Park and manager Gary Brabin is hoping to come back from York with more points in the bag.

Looking ahead to the game, which starts at 7.45pm, Brabin said during a press conference at Prenton Park: "I'm expecting another tough test.

"They (York) will have aspirations of getting promoted. We've got to be ready for that challenge.

They were relegated from the Football League at the end of last season. Currently 16th on the league table, their home form has seen three wins and a draw at Bootham Crescent this season.

Away from home they appear a different side, drawing one and losing four.

Injury to Connor Jennings during Saturday's game means Brabin will make at least one change to tonight's line-up, but is considering more changes following Saturday's performance against Lincoln.

He said during the press conference: "I have made my feelings clear to players who I feel I need more from and we're always demanding more from each other.

"The players have set their own standards and they have to maintain that."

The manager added that it is good that the team have chance to put Saturday's game behind them quickly with a midweek game.

"It's certainly good to have a game soon after a disappointment.

"It would have been a long week had we not had this game coming up.

"There is still a lot of belief there.

"We need to go back to doing what we do well and if we do that then I think we're a real force."
