TRANMERE Rovers face Dagenham & Redbridge in what interim manager Paul Carden believes will be a difficult game this weekend.

The opposition currently sit top of the table, but Carden insists that it is an equally difficult match for the Daggers.

Saturday's match, at Chigwell Construction Stadium starts at 5.30pm and will be shown live on BT Sport.

Assessing this weekend's opposition in an interview on Rovers' website, Carden said: "John Still is one of the longest-serving managers in the country.

"He has a great record and knows how to get a team winning especially in this division.

"He's got Dagenham doing well this season so we're going to a side who are in form but we also know that we are a side that others won't enjoy playing against.

"We know it will be a tough game but it will be equally as tough for them.

"It was good to add some goals to our game last week but we have to continue that now.

"We've worked on a few things in training to try and help us become more of an attacking threat.

"We're certainly not going down there setting up to draw, we're going there to win the game and that's what we've worked on this week."

In a bid to bolster the squad, Carden has signing of midfielder Elliot Osborne on a 28-day loan from English Football League One side Fleetwood Town.

The 20-year-old began his football career in the Academy at Port Vale before leaving Vale Park and teaming up with Nantwich Town in 2014-15.

In his first season with Nantwich, he won the club's Young Player of the Season award before making an even bigger impression last season.

Last term, Osborne helped the Dabbers to the semi-final stage of the FA Trophy, including a victory over Dover Athletic in the quarter-final.

He scored 22 goals in all competitions during 2015-16 which earned him a move into the English Football League with Fleetwood Town.

He will be available for tomorrow's game.

Paul Carden said: "With the recent injuries we have suffered, suspension to Jeff Hughes and Lois Maynard’s upcoming international duty with St Kitts & Nevis, we felt it necessary to strengthen our midfield options.

"Elliot is a player we have watched closely and will bring good quality to the squad.

"I'd like to thank Uwe Rosler and Fleetwood Town for allowing him to join us."
