OLD Parkonians began their campaign in Division One of the Cheshire Cricket League with a defeat at Bedbury St Marks.
Jonny Beaver (33) top scored as the visitors were dismissed for 85 before the hosts wrapped up a seven wicket win. Chris Beckett took 3-25.
In Division Two, Wirral had a day to forget at Westminster Park after they were bowled out for just 32. Jack Cureton (4-21) tried his best with the ball before a five wicket defeat.
In the Southport and District League, Irby's Nabeel Tahir scored 43 as the hosts made 128 all out against New Victoria. Rob Mallon then took 7-13 to seal a 65 run win.
