WHAT has happened to traffic and parking enforcement on Wirral and Merseyside as a whole?

I am increasingly witnessing inconsiderate and lazy motorists parking on the zig-zag markings at pedestrian crossings, an offence that certainly used to carry a licence endorsement, often being passed by marked police vehicles without any action being taken whatsoever.

Also, when did it become acceptable for motorists to park their vehicles wholly - all four wheels - on the pavement?

This is also something that’s becoming increasingly commonplace and ignored by police.

I regularly walk along Meols Parade and the pavement on the section between Roman Road and Dovepoint Road is regularly used as a car park by the residents who either have too many cars for their property or are too lazy to park them where they won’t cause inconvenience, often side by side.

We often see the PCSOs based at Hoylake driving around the area so why can’t they see what is blatantly obvious and do something about it?
