EARLIER this year I wrote about the outrageous attack on democracy contained in the Trade Union Bill, calling on the Government to drop their unfair proposals.
Now, the House of Lords has debated the Bill and the Government were defeated three times over on key parts of the Bill.
It is important that the press focuses on issues which affect ordinary people and that it gives fair coverage to any questions raised by Jeremy Corbyn, the leader of the Labour Labour.
Corbyn and John McDonnell [Shadow Chancellor] are providing a compelling narrative – but our national newspaper do not report it.
Now the Bill heads back to the Commons, it is over to our MPs once again, and the Government should take the opportunity to drop it.
John Latham, Bebington.
