A FEW years ago I inquired at a council recycling event why residents and businesses could not add shredded paper to the grey bin.
At the moment it is still not accepted and has to be put in the green waste bin.
As councillors have mail delivered from the town hall to their homes by a courier van each week, surely that van and driver could be utilised to deliver shredded paper to the nearest recycling centre.
Cheaper than changing our present arrangements?
